Brush Square Park – Austin, Texas
Project Description:
Brush Square Park, one of Austin’s original downtown squares, underwent a revitalization with the City of Austin Parks & Recreation. The project preserves historic structures, including the O. Henry Museum and Susanna Dickinson Museum, while creating a vibrant public space. Phase 1 improvements included new pedestrian pathways, event lawn, stormwater management features, heritage tree preservation, lighting, furnishings, and improved accessibility. The design emphasizes historic preservation, urban connectivity, and multi-generational public use, transforming the park into a welcoming downtown gathering space.
