Project Description:

The PER included the initial site investigation for structural deficiencies with a complete engineering investigative reports with recommended repairs and estimated costs. Project scope of the rehabilitation of the two tanks included recoating, safety improvements, repair of damaged and deteriorated tank elements.

For more than 100 years, Austin Water has been committed to providing safe, reliable, high quality, sustainable and affordable water services to the residents of Austin. One way to achieve this is through the Water Storage Rehabilitation Program that is managed by Austin Water. The Lost Creek Tanks are a great example of how the program works. The Lost Creek Tanks were new to the Austin Water system after the annexation of Lost Creek a few years ago. With its commitment to provide top quality water, Austin Water did Pre-Engineering Report to evaluate the condition of the tanks. From the findings in the report, the necessary repairs were made to bring the tanks up to the high standards that the City of Austin requires for its water.
