Our Story: A Legacy of Engineering with Purpose

Jose I. Guerra, Inc. was founded in 1973 by Jose I. Guerra, P.E., a proud graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a passion for structural engineering and a vision for building a better Austin. It was a time of exciting growth for the city, and Jose’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish his own firm—proudly holding the state’s third registered firm, F-3, at the Texas Board of Professional Engineers & Land Surveyors.

With the iconic “G” as its symbol, the firm quickly became known for more than just solid engineering. Guerra earned a reputation for technical excellence, dependable service, and creative problem-solving—values that still define who we are today.

What began as a small local practice has grown into a respected, multi-discipline engineering firm serving clients throughout Texas. And while much has changed since 1973, our commitment to integrity, innovation, and community remains as strong as ever.

Guerra Engineering celebrated 50 years in business milestone in 2023.
