Debra Sharpe, AIA, is the Chief Executive Officer of Guerra Engineering Firm, bringing over 30 years of extensive experience in the architectural and engineering industry. A results-driven leader with a strong foundation in engineering management, Debra has successfully guided a wide range of complex projects, delivering innovative and efficient solutions that align with client goals and industry standards. Since joining Guerra over 15 years ago, Debra has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to operational excellence. As CEO, she oversees the firm’s strategic direction and day-to-day operations, leading multidisciplinary engineering teams across Civil, Structural, and MEP/FP disciplines. Her focus on team building, client relationships, and cross-functional collaboration ensures that project objectives are met with precision and integrity. As a licensed architect, Debra has a unique perspective on the intersection of architecture and engineering. She brings a holistic, design-informed approach to technical problem-solving and project delivery—an asset that enhances coordination, creativity, and client outcomes. As an architect leading an engineering firm, Debra is passionate about bridging disciplines to create more integrated, innovative solutions for the built environment.

Shawn Allen, P.E.
Mr. Allen is President and Chief Operations Officer of Guerra Engineering With over 30 years of comprehensive executive management experience in the engineering and construction industry, he is well equipped to provide operational oversight and executive leadership for the firm. He has a proven ability to lead and manage diverse, multidisciplinary teams to success on a wide range of complex engineering projects. Shawn’s passion for customer service, quality, and employee development, has driven him to become a truly exceptional leader in the consulting engineering world. Working closely with leaders in our Austin & San Antonio offices, he maintains and develops strong and enduring relationships with clients across the state of Texas. His vast engineering knowledge and genuine care for others enables him to mentor and develop strong engineering leaders throughout the firm. As the firm’s third president, Shawn is committed to the continued growth and diversification of Guerra Engineering, while embracing the challenges and opportunities of the future. He has been with the firm since 2003.

Brandon Reyes, P.E., LEED AP
Principal | Sr. Plumbing/Fire Protection
Project Engineer
Brandon Reyes is a Principal and leads the Plumbing and Fire Protection team at Guerra Engineering. He has extensive experience designing systems for a wide range of facilities, including high-rise, industrial, healthcare, and commercial projects. Brandon specializes in complex plumbing and fire protection systems, including medical gases, chemical waste, fire alarms, and suppression systems. He is well-versed in NFPA, ICC, and IAPMO standards.

Colby Brock, P.E.
Colby Brock is a Principal and leads the Electrical Engineering Department at Guerra Engineering. He has extensive experience designing low and high voltage power systems, lighting, and specialty electrical systems. Colby manages and delivers new and retrofit projects across commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors with a strong track record of successful project execution.

Yan Cheung, P.E.
Yan Cheung is a Principal and leads the Structural Engineering Department at Guerra Engineers, and brings over two decades of experience in structural design and project management. He has delivered steel, concrete, and CMU projects across sectors including water/wastewater, municipal, education, healthcare, commercial, and cultural facilities. Known for his attention to detail and collaborative approach, Yan guides projects from concept through construction, building lasting relationships with clients, architects, and contractors.

Ann Guerra
Director of Finance & HR
Ann Guerra serves as the Director of Finance & Human Resources at Guerra Engineering, where she brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to operational excellence. In her role, Ann leads the firm’s financial operations, including budgeting, payroll, and long-range planning, while also managing all aspects of human resources. She is instrumental in fostering a positive internal culture, supporting leadership, and ensuring company-wide compliance and efficiency. Before joining the firm, Ann spent nearly 30 years in management roles within the Aerospace and High-Tech industries, with a focus on business systems optimization and process improvement—experience that continues to inform her strategic and detail-oriented approach at Guerra.

Debby Williams
Sr. Director of Marketing & BD
Debby Williams is the Director of Marketing and Business Development at Guerra Engineering, where she helps drive strategic growth and strengthen the firm’s presence across Texas. With over 20 years of experience in the AEC industry, she brings a relationship-focused, results-driven approach to client success. Her career began in the San Francisco Bay Area with a Premier General Contractor. Her personal life led her to Austin in 2011, where she expanded her expertise in commercial interiors, and consulting engineering. Debby is an active member of SMPS Austin, currently serving on the Board of Directors and as President-Elect for 2024–2025. She also brings 15 years of involvement with CREW, including serving as President of Silicon Valley CREW in 2007.
