Texas State University – Hilltop Housing Complex – San Marcos, Texas
The project will include a residential housing complex that will consist of several building components connected by the use of shared common areas and exterior courtyards. The residential complex will provide additional student housing to support the continuously growing freshman student enrollment numbers.
The site planning includes stormwater drainage analysis of the existing conditions and existing stormwater infrastructure from the site to make sure that it is adequate to convey the stormwater. The proposed conditions will then be analyzed to see if the existing stormwater infrastructure will be adequate to convey the stormwater away from our site. If the existing infrastructure is not adequate, then a detention pond will need to be added to the site to be able to control the stormwater release rate. If a detention pond is not acceptable, then the stormwater piping will need to be sized accordingly from our site to the outfall of the system. The drainage analysis will only be done for the site and for any existing stormwater piping that is leaving our site and not for the entire system.
