University of Texas of the Permian Basin – Engineering Building – Odessa, Texas
A new Engineering Building is needed to provide for more efficient operation of the current Bachelor’s Degree program in mechanical and petroleum engineering programs and will also allow space for the Industrial Technology program expansion. The project calls for the design and construction of an 80,000 gross square foot (48,000 assignable square foot) Engineering Building on UTPB’s Midland Campus. The proposed Engineering Building will include space for classrooms, instructional labs, research endeavors, administrative offices and student support services. The Engineering Building is included in the 2012 Campus Master Plan, and was included in the 2015 Legislation Tuition Revenue Bond (TRB) funding.
