Project Description:

The Armed Forces Reserve Center and Joint Vehicle Maintenance Facility development is a U.S. Military facility being constructed on a 60.005-Acre tract in Austin, Travis County, Texas.  The site is located at the intersection of General Aviation Avenue and Burleson Road in Austin, Texas.  The U.S. Military is constructing three buildings for military use, three vehicle wash bays, one fuel service island, reinforced concrete parking, concrete sidewalks, onsite water & wastewater utility improvements, onsite drainage improvements, an offsite drainage culvert beneath General Aviation Avenue, two onsite retention-irrigation water quality ponds, an onsite detention pond, and a full landscape improvements plan.  The project will add approximately 15.629 acres of impervious cover to the property.

Services Provided:

Jose I. Guerra Inc. provided complete civil engineering and construction administration services for the development of 40 + acres of the above described property.  The construction documents required the design of a site dimension plan, paving plan, grading plan, drainage plan, water quality and detention system, erosion and sedimentation control plan, water and wastewater utility plan, and a storm sewer plan.  Jose I. Guerra, Inc. also worked with the project architect and many other disciplines to obtain the required site plan permit from the City of Austin.
