AUS International Airport Career and Development Center Austin, Texas
The Project Scope converted the former Learning and Resource Center building, located at 2800 Spirit of Texas Drive into the new Airport Career and Development Center. The center’s function is to support jobs at the airport including positions in the Department of Aviation, airlines, concessionaires and other aviation job support services and providers. The 21,300 square foot steel frame building includes offices for the employment and talent acquisition staff, a records room, interview rooms, conference and meeting rooms, a job board, testing center, and application stations, open spaces, bigger windows, a patio area, new trellis, canopies and sunshade fins, and a reception desk. Our MEP team designed the scope of demolition and the required modifications to the existing air distribution systems required to accommodate the proposed new architectural layout. The scope of work also included new site lighting systems and modifications to the existing Fire Alarm/Fire-Suppression systems.
Jose I. Guerra Inc. provided complete mechanical, electrical plumbing and fire protection engineering design and construction administration services.
