Baldwin Elementary School – Austin, Texas
Project scope was for a new 85,200 square foot elementary school designed to accommodate 720 students and supporting faculty and staff. This project included a complete onsite thermal utility production and distribution system including a 400 Ton chilled water thermal energy plant and chilled water distribution system. The heating water system consisted of two gas fired boilers designed to produce 2,700 MBH of heating and a complete heating water distribution system. New mechanical systems were designed to meet building demand loads including N+1 redundancy. A complete DDC instrumentation and controls package was designed and produced for the building including detailed control diagrams, sequence of operations and detailed points list. The DDC control system was fully integrated into the campus front end building management system. Student Capacity is 669.
