City of San Marcos Public Services Complex – San Marcos, Texas
The City of San Marcos Public Services Complex includes five separate buildings totaling 106,428 sq ft, plus surface parking. The project was designed and was built through a public-private partnership between the City of San Marcos and Hunt Companies, with Hunt serving as the developer and Flintco serving as the Design-Build contractor. Through this arrangement, the team is providing the City with a high performing, integrated complex that meets the City’s needs – both logistically and financially. The facilities include administrative offices, dispatch and command centers, a water quality lab, workshops, vehicle maintenance and utility bays, large conference and training spaces, and vehicle wash bays. The commissioning scope of work includes commissioning for the three largest buildings including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and photovoltaic systems. The Cx team reviewed design drawings, product submittals and prepared pre-functional and functional test forms, review test and balance reports for conformance with design requirements. During construction the Cx team reviewed the Contractors Start up Procedures and assist with the problem-solving non-conformance and/or deficiencies.
