Date Completed: October 2012
Construction Cost: $2,281,000
Project Description:

The project addressed a list of critical rehabilitation work that was required to extend the life of the existing system until a new pump station could be constructed.  The structural work included the addition of two new permanent bulkheads inside of the existing Filtered Water Channel and the addition of three new access hatches to the roof slab over the Filtered Water Channel.  A temporary, removable steel bulkhead system was required to allow the Plant to remain partially in-service during this construction. The project also included the rehabilitation of ten existing valve vaults, the reconstruction and enlargement of another existing vault, the addition of a new slide gate vault structure, and repairs to various leaks in existing walls at the Filter Pipe Gallery and at the Flocculator Gallery.
