Project Description:

The new 53,500 sq.ft., multi-level Engineering Technology Center will be the primary facility for the Department of Agricultural and Industrial Sciences. The project will include a innovation lab, collaboration area, woodworking shops, clean manufacturing rooms, a small wet lab, electronics and robotics labs, classrooms, faculty and staff offices, administrative offices. The new Technology Center will be part of a grand gateway to the campus and will stand as a flagship building to represent one of the SHSU’s signature programs. Located on Level 1 are the Main Mechanical, Pump Room and the Main Electrical Room serving as the core of the building’s systems and distributing utilities to the upper levels. Project includes the extension of existing campus thermal utilities to the building, and the design of hydronic systems.

Jose I. Guerra Inc. provided complete mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering design, and construction administration services, including controls and special systems.
