Project Description:

Nicks Area Expansion/Renovation Construction | Date: October 2018 | Cost: $7,030,000

Project Description: The William J. Nicks building was built in 1964 and is the basketball arena for the campus. The new design-build project includes an addition that is approximately 9,000 s.f. and will house the new restroom facilities for the concourse level. The building requires renovations and a new addition to comply with the life safety and ADA requirements. Our project scope includes commissioning of all systems designed in the building upgrades.

Hobert T. Taylor Building Renovation | Date: September 2018 |Cost: $3,380,000 (est.)

Project Description: Hobart Building, built in 1976, is currently undergoing significant modifications and upgrades to bring the building up to life safety compliance and to extend the useful life of the building. Upgrades that are required include the HVAC systems, building automation controls, fire sprinkler systems, pipping for chilled and heating water and replacement of building exhaust fans. Our project scope includes commissioning of all systems designed in the building upgrades.

Public Safety Building | Date: November 2018 | Cost: $3,220,000

Project Description: The new Pubic Safety Building will serve the Campus police department operations and will replace the existing location. Design elements include emergency generator, roof top mechanical units, LED lighting.

Delco Building Renovation | Date: September 2018 | Cost: $1,460,000

Project Description: The scope of work included replacing of existing air handling units, hydronic piping and reheat distribution boxes.  In addition, new drinking fountains and ADA restroom upgrades.

Jose I. Guerra Inc. provided complete mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering design, controls, commissioning services and construction administration services.
