Texas State University Film and Television Studio San Marcos, Texas
The Texas State Film & TV Studio building is a one-story, 11,000 SF Structure. The broadcast related components are grouped together in a cost effective, East-West oriented rectangular mass fronting onto Sessom Street, with double height Film & TV studio ceilings and parapet heights of 30’. An 8’ wide East-West Media Concourse (main corridor) runs the length of the building, positioned to the north of the broadcast mass. The non-broadcast related spaces for academic and support functions, are strategically positioned along the north side of the Media Concourse, under a more traditional one-story building height with 20’ high parapet. A 3-sided, north facing courtyard, with views to a grove of 3 heritage oak trees, is positioned between the academic and support functions, and allows for an envisioned Phase 2 expansion for future programmed spaces, including a screening, news and seminar room
