Texas State University – LBJ Student Center Renovations Infrastructure Phase I – San Marcos, Texas

Project Description:

The LBJ student center  is a five-story, 221,000 sq. ft. building and is an important part of student life on the University campus. With the growing rate of student attendance at the University, the student center needed to operate more efficiently and have properly functioning MEP systems.  The project focused on major upgrades to the existing infrastructure of the Mechanical, Electrical, Communications Systems, Life Safety and Building Fire Protection Systems in preparation for the Student Center Expansion .  This project included the complete replacement of MEP systems including 27 new air handling units, pumps, a new generator, facility lighting, replacement of the controls and fire alarm systems and a new fire pump while the building remained in operation.
