Project Description:

Jose I. Guerra, Inc. provided design phase to construction phase services to the new Surge Tank support structures for the Ullrich Water Treatment Plant Low Service Pump Station Raw Water Hydraulic and Energy Efficient Improvements. Our structural team designed the support structures for three new surge tanks which are up to 10ft diameter and 18ft tall. The largest support structure measures approximately 24ft x 20ft. 17ft-deep retaining walls are designed to accommodate the underground placement of the tanks. Our team collaborated with the Surge Tank design team. Our design involves extensive coordination for the construction sequence to accommodate the existing 36” diameter steel pipe. The new Surge Tank addition serves as an important improvement to the Ullrich Water Treatment Plant. Our design team has provided critical technical support to the owner from preliminary design through construction completion.
