Project Description:

New 150,000 sq-ft, 6 story Computer Science Building.  The project was conceived in order to consolidate the existing Computer Science department staff and facilities, which are currently housed in six separate facilities, into one new building.  The new facility is designed to achieve LEED Silver Certification.  The project also included demolition of the existing Taylor Hall and Chilling Station No. 2 and rerouting and/or extension of existing utilities to accommodate the new building.

Services Provided:

Jose I. Guerra, Inc. provided complete civil and site structural engineering design and construction administration services for the project.  Design responsibility included site grading, drainage, paving, new and relocated domestic water, fire water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and rainwater collection systems, site utility vaults, manholes, utility tunnels, ductbanks, soil retaining structures, stairs and ramps.  Provided TPDES consulting services for the project.  Also provided documentation and engineering support services for LEED Certification.
