Mr. Van Vleck is a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas with over 8 years of experience in design and management of civil engineering projects. His project experience includes the development of plans and specifications, permitting, and construction administration. Abe has worked on a variety of projects involving utility design, stormwater and water quality, residential and commercial development, higher educational facilities, and public infrastructure planning.

Ahamad Rashed is a Civil Design Engineer and Technical Civil Software Operator. His project experience includes the development of plans and specifications on a variety of projects involving utility design, stormwater and water quality, and commercial development, higher educational facilities, and public infrastructure planning.

Ben Ramirez is a Senior Structural Engineer with over 13 years of engineering experience including commercial, residential, water, wastewater, power generation, vertical construction, and Bridge. His expertise is in concrete and steel design, advanced structural analysis, damage remediation, and historic structure retrofits. Ben is skilled at managing complex projects and translating technical concepts into clear, actionable solutions for clients and field teams.

Brittney Carter is a Mechanical Project Engineer with experience designing and coordinating mechanical systems for K-12, higher education, municipal, and government projects. She combines engineering principles, building codes, and design standards to deliver effective solutions and detailed construction documents using CAD/BIM tools.

Cameron Wilson is a Mechanical Design Engineer working in Mechanical and as a Fire Protection Design Engineer. Cameron has experience in the design and specification of mechanical and fire protection systems. As a Fire Protection Designer, his experience includes wet and dry fire suppression and standpipe systems for warehouses, parking garages, maintenance buildings, educational buildings, residential and commercial high-rises, retrofit and new industrial buildings, as well as churches.

Carl Evans is an Electrical Design Engineer with over 12 years of experience in power distribution, lighting, and lighting control systems. He has contributed to the successful delivery of new and retrofit projects across education, government, and commercial sectors within the building and construction industry.

Dan Gibbs is a Senior Controls System Specialist with over four decades of depth experience in Direct Digital Control (DDC), Distributed Control (DCS), Process Automation Control (PAC), and Supervisor Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. He has designed controls for a wide range of new and retrofit projects across industrial, central cooling/heating plant, healthcare, commercial, higher education, campus wide, and governmental historical complex sectors. Dan develops control system designs, P&IDs, system schematics and all other controls related construction documents with precision and efficiency.

Eric Feuge-Miller is a Structural Design Engineer with over 4 years of experience designing concrete and steel structures for commercial, healthcare, municipal, and historic projects. He supports projects from initial design through construction, delivering solutions that balance architectural intent and constructability. His collaborative approach has fostered strong relationships with clients and project teams.

Filiberto Muniz is a Senior CAD Operator and Lead BIM Technician with extensive experience supporting structural, mechanical, and electrical design. He has worked on a variety of new and retrofit education and commercial projects across the building industry.

Glenn Frey leads the Civil Engineering Department at Jose I. Guerra and brings over 17 years of experience in civil design and project management. His expertise includes site development, utilities, paving and grading, stormwater systems, water quality treatment, and SITES. Glenn has extensive project experience with both the City of Austin and The University of Texas at Austin.

JR Sanchez is an Austin Native and Sr. Mechanical Project Engineer with over 18 years of experience in mechanical and electrical design. He has contributed to a wide range of projects across municipal, commercial, industrial, higher education, and K-12 sectors. His work includes new construction and retrofits for facilities such as central plants, high-rise offices, local schools and universities, student housing, airports, and warehouses. JR brings innovative problem-solving and technical expertise to every project.

Jonathan DeAngelo is a CAD/BIM Technician at Jose I. Guerra with experience supporting MEP and fire protection design. He is proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam, and has contributed to both new and retrofit education and commercial projects.

Joseph Heilman is the CAD/BIM Manager at Jose I. Guerra leading the firm’s drafting and modeling efforts across education and commercial projects. He is highly experienced in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design tools, supporting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines on both new and retrofit projects.

Kayla Rodriguez is an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in power distribution, lighting, and lighting control systems. She has contributed to the successful delivery of new and retrofit projects across education, government, and commercial sectors within the building and construction industry.

Ken Hanks is a Senior Structural Project Engineer with decades of experience designing and evaluating steel and concrete structures. His work spans commercial, residential, healthcare, education, retail, and industrial buildings. Ken also has deep expertise in large-scale water treatment plant projects, including the design and coordination of complex treatment and support structures.

Lauren Traywick is a recent graduate and a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in designing and coordinating mechanical systems for a wide range of projects, including K-12 schools, higher education institutions, municipal buildings, and government facilities. In particular, Lauren has contributed to the development of HVAC design solutions for these projects in collaboration with Guerra.

Mark Treadway brings decades of expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, with a hands-on, practical approach to commissioning and construction administration. He has successfully led both commissioning and retro-commissioning efforts across a wide range of project types—including K-12 schools, higher education facilities, healthcare institutions, and government buildings. Mark is committed to ensuring optimal system performance and reliability in today’s increasingly complex building environments.

Mason Parsons is a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in both mechanical and fire protection system design. His work includes HVAC, hydronic systems, plant retrofits, and utility planning, as well as wet and dry fire suppression and standpipe systems for a variety of building types, from warehouses and schools to high-rises and churches.

Merrie Carson has been a vital part of Jose I. Guerra for over 22 years, serving as Executive Assistant and Office Manager. She supports executive leadership and oversees daily office operations, helping ensure efficiency, organization, and a positive workplace environment.

Myra Salinas is an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in power distribution, lighting, and lighting control systems. He has contributed to the successful delivery of new and retrofit projects across education, government, and commercial sectors within the building and construction industry.

Rebeca brings a diverse accounting background spanning corporate, nonprofit, and public sectors. She has extensive experience in financial reporting, process improvement and building efficient accounting operations within growing organizations. With a passion for both structure and strategy, Rebeca enjoys finding smarter, more streamlined ways to make numbers tell a story.

Rudy Hinojosa brings 40+ years of experience and supports the Structural Engineering team with 2D/3D CAD drafting and detailing. He also prepares electronic drawing sets and as-built documents for project closeout.

Sandi Fazio is the Senior Accounting Manager at Jose I. Guerra overseeing accounts receivable and payable, contract invoicing, and financial reporting. She supports project managers with project setup, monthly billing, HUB documentation, and client reporting, while also managing subcontractor payment tracking and contract file maintenance.

Simone Smith is an experienced Construction Administration Manager, specializing in managing project scope, schedules, and contractual agreements across diverse projects of varying types and scales. She plays a pivotal role in leading and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring that all project objectives are met from the initial designing and programming phases seamlessly through to the construction phase

Steven Jalnos is a Mechanical Project Engineer who supports the design of new and retrofit projects for K-12, higher education, municipal, and government facilities. He applies engineering principles and design standards to develop mechanical and plumbing systems using CAD/BIM tools. Steven is also actively involved in helping lead operations at the firm’s San Antonio office.

Thomas Miller is a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in new construction, renovations, and expansions across education, healthcare, food service, manufacturing, and government sectors. He designs mechanical and plumbing systems using engineering standards and CAD/BIM tools to deliver effective, code-compliant solutions.

Will Hiers is a Structural Design Engineer with over 2 years of experience designing concrete, steel, and masonry structures. His work includes municipal and institutional projects such as wastewater treatment plants, electrical buildings, and retaining walls. Will is known for his attention to detail, client coordination, and collaborative project delivery.
